Ciberperformance: análise de criações performativas online pré e pós-pandemia

Resumo

The global circumstances caused by confinement due to pandemic of COVID-19 transformed every cultural experience of live artistic performances into a digital experience. For some artists, the transition from physical to virtual spaces was unexpected, for others, online environments have always been part of their practices since the advent of the internet. Among the practices based on virtual environments, cyberperformance, a performative practice native of online environments, has seen an exponential growth of interest by artists as well as audiences. The present article will reflect on the growing interest on cyberperformance during the confinement phases and the modifications and amplifications occurred within it. To this end, two case studies will be presented and their aesthetic,  technological and interactive aspects analysed. From this analysis an understanding of the expansion of cyberperformance and its future contributions to the performing arts and digital culture in general will be presented.
